Barry University to offer discount, incentives to students affected by ITT Tech closure

In an effort to support students of ITT Technical Institute, which announced that it is ceasing all operations, Barry University’s School of Professional and Career Education (PACE) is offering potential students discounted tuition towards all degree programs within the school.

The discounts are effective immediately and apply to all undergraduate, graduate and online degree programs at all PACE locations across the state, which includes: Melbourne; Pembroke Pines; Tallahassee; Kendall; Cape Canaveral; Jacksonville-Lenox; Cutler Bay; Orlando; Davie; Ft. Myers; Miami Shores; and Palm Beach Gardens.

Additionally, students can take advantage of PACE’s Portfolio Program, which allows a student to translate real-life learning into college credit. Up to 30 credits may be earned by demonstrating college-level learning in one or more of the following academic disciplines: behavioral sciences, communication, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and five special topics.

"It's important that all students have access to a quality education, whether that be in a traditional classroom or through various forms of online learning. When situations prevent students from achieving their goals, we believe in finding ways in which they can maximize their potential and continue their pursuit of a higher education," said Dr. Andrea Keener, dean of PACE.
