College of Arts and Sciences celebrates Pi-Day

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science hosted a Pi-Day celebration March 14. 

Approximately 20 people attended, including several high school and middle school students, Barry math and computer science majors, faculty, and colleagues from other departments. There were two presentations: “The life and works of Srinivasa Ramanujan” by Dr. J. N. Singh, and “A Tribute to Pi” by Julian-Alecssandre Dasilva, Rebecca Hernandez and Dr. L. Markov. After the talks, guests enjoyed coffee, cookies, drinks and pies.
