Barry University’s Dr. Susan Ryan, EdD, PA-C, DFAAPA — associate professor of medical education in the Physician Assistant (PA) program — has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA).
Receiving the prestigious recognition as a Distinguished Fellow means Ryan has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the PA profession in at least three of the following areas:
- Distinction in medical practice, education, research or health care management
- Leadership in medicine and health care
- Professional involvement
- Commitment to lifelong learning
- Community service
“I was happily surprised to even be considered for such an honor,” said Ryan, who teaches at the St. Petersburg site. “I am very proud to join the list of my esteemed colleagues as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of PAs.”
