Today, as we mark the one-year anniversary of the senseless and horrific shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, we remember the seventeen members of the MSD community who lost their lives. The Barry University community holds the families and the survivors in our thoughts and prayer while engaging in initiatives that foster peace and non-violence.
On this Valentine’s Day, may the words from Proverbs 3, “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart,” help to ease our community’s pain.
