WINTER PARK, Fla.--Barry's Bryant Elliott has been selected as Sunshine State Conference Baseball Player of the Week.

Barry junior OF Bryant Elliott (Miami, Fla.) led the Buccaneers to an SSC series sweep over Eckerd, batting .400 with four RBI and one run scored. Elliott hit safely and drove in at least one run in each game of the series. In the finale, he was a perfect 2-for-2 with a double. In three games, he tallied a .500 slugging percentage and a .455 on-base percentage. He was flawless in the field, and made a spectacular catch at the wall against the Tritons.

The Buccaneers have reeled off five consecutive wins after a 4-8 start and now hold a 9-8 overall mark that includes a 3-0 record in SSC play. Barry hosts Adelphi University this Tuesday at Feinbloom Field before the start of a three game series at Saint Leo over the weekend.
