WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Barry junior Marco Mokrzycki was named to the First Team All-Sunshine State Conference men's tennis singles team Friday.

Mokrzycki, a Hannover, Germany native, is 14-4 in singles while playing at the No. 1 spot this year. He is 8-2 versus nationally-ranked opponents.

Fabian Groetsch, a Nuremberg, Germany product, was named the conference's Freshman of the Year. Groetsch is 16-6 as a singles player, primarily at No. 2-3. Groetsch was also selected to the All-SSC Second Team singles squad.

Barry's George Samuel was named Coach of the Year. Samuel guided the Bucs to the SSC title last week. His team begins NCAA Tournament play at the Lynn Regional Saturday.

Mokrzycki and Leo Vivas were named to the doubles Second Team. Combined, the Bucs duo has a 13-4 record. Mokrzycki is 20-5 overall in doubles play. Vivas is 17-8 overall in pairs play.
