Stapff Men's Golf First Team All-SSC

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Barry University had three players named to the All-Sunshine State Conference men's golf team Tuesday.

Daniel Stapff was chosen as a First Team selection. Marcus Segerstrom was a Second Team choice. Scott Smyers was voted to the honorable mention squad.

Stapff, a senior from Curitiba, Brazil, leads the Buccaneers with a 72.40 scoring average. He won one individual title, and shot a low round of 66. He has six top 10 finishes and three top 5s this season. Stapff has knocked in 91 birdies in 10 tournaments. He has one eagle.

Segerstrom is second on the team with a 73.40 scoring average. He has four top 10 and two top 5 finishes. Segerstrom finished third twice. He tied the school-record for low round with a 65. Segerstrom has 69 birdies this year in 10 events. He leads the team with three eagles.

Smyers has a 73.53 scoring average. He has four top 10 and two top 5 finishes. Smyers has one runner-up finish. His best round was a 68. He leads the team with 100 birdies, and has one eagle.

Barry will compete in the South/Southeast Super Regional Monday-Wednesday in Conover, N.C.
