Barry University Announces New Student Success Initiatives Seeded by a $1.5 Million Anonymous Donation

(Miami, FL) Barry University has launched The Barry University Opportunity Fund and an Opportunity Scholarship program, two related initiatives that will help make a Barry University education possible for deserving students. These new programs will become the university’s highest priority for advancement efforts going forward.

The leadership gift to start the programs comes from an anonymous donor who committed to giving Barry University $1.5 million to support student scholarships and student success initiatives. Of the donor, Barry University President, Mike Allen, Ph.D. said, “These new friends of the university are inspired by our mission, the students we serve, and the many promising stories of our graduates impacting the world around them. We are most grateful and honored to be the recipients of such generosity.”

The levels for contributing to the Opportunity Fund are flexible and Opportunity Scholarships can be applied to students in every academic program. For more information please visit here: https://www.barry.edu/giving/
