Dune vegetation sampling at Crandon Park (May 3, 2005)
The Barry-NOAA crew went to Crandon Park on May 3, 2005, to sample dune vegetation. Dr. Montague, Helena Giannini, Marsha Thompson, and Shannon Schmitt took a transect and a camera out on the dunes to document every single plant species in sight.
The goal of this project is to begin the construction of a database of dune vegetation at Crandon Park, identifying plant species, native and exotic species, and species abundance for this particular habitat.
