Delivered by Nancy Gassman, Ph.D., Director of Environmental Monitoring at Broward County’s Environmental Protection Department (EPD)
Presentation covered the jobs of the EPD, what the environment is, and the parameters that are monitored.
Dr. Gassman discussed different test sites, testing equipment, and data collection and management. Following the presentation was a discussion between faculty, students, and staff – all questions answered by Dr. Gassman – on presentation topics, as well as the interesting political aspect of environmental monitoring.
