StudentsAs an evolving technology, this field offers outstanding opportunities for the future. The field pays well; there is good job availability, with graduates often being offered jobs right after graduation and being paid to relocate.

Employment opportunities are abundant and varied and include work in large and small hospitals, private practice group clinics, public health clinics, national research institutions, technical sales, and in industrial sites such as nuclear power plants. Many nuclear medicine technologists work in cardiology offices or clinics.

The field offers rapid advancement into supervisory, administrative, educational, and specialty positions with experience and/or additional education.
