Program of Study
The program requires at least 38 credits beyond the master’s degree in nursing and is designed to meet the needs of students through part-time study while maintaining outside employment. Courses progress through fall, spring and summer, with 3 intersession courses which take place either one week before the fall semester begins or one week before the summer semester begins.

- Healthcare Informatics for Doctoral Nursing Practice (3 credits)
- Translational Research for Doctoral Nursing Practice (4 credits)
- Capstone Seminar I (1 credit, Spring Intersession)
- Epidemiology & Biostatistics (3 credits)*
- Evaluation Methods for Doctoral Nursing Practice (3 credits)
- Healthcare Economics Doctoral Nursing Practice (3 credits)
- Capstone Seminar II (2 credits, Spring Intersession)
- Global Leadership Strategies (3 credits)*
- Bioethics (3 credits)*
- Residency (4 credits)**
- Capstone (4 credits)**
*PhD in Nursing students also take this course.
