Alec J. Santora Memorial Award

The Alec J. Santora Memorial Award was developed to honor the brother of Andrea Santora'02 who died during Andrea's studies at the Division of Nursing from Ewing's Sarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. Alec's family recognizes the impact that nurses have on the well-being of sick children and in that spirit developed this annual award.

Kelley Miller was chosen by the faculty to be the first recipient of this honor, due to her strong academic success and interest in pediatric nursing. At the May 2003 Convocation Kelley was presented with a $500 scholarship and a perpetual plaque which will remain at the school. Congratulations Kelley!
