Dean's Awards

Each year, Dean Balcerski recognizes the academic achievement of three graduates, representing the three undergraduate options. This year's awardees are Deborah MacIntyre , a registered nurse who graduated from the RN to BSN Option with a 3.6 GPA; Cheryl Lynn Minick , who graduated from the Basic Option with a 3.972 GPA; and Jennifer Rosser , who graduated from the Accelerated Option with a 4.0 GPA.

Deborah MacIntyre said, "Barry's positive and flexible learning environment, known for its small class sizes and nurturing atmosphere, has motivated me to reach my full potential, academically and personally. My experiences at Barry have increased my confidence, knowledge, and creativity, and I know that I will be prepared to meet the challenges of my career.

Cheryl Lynn Minick commented, "I have had a great experience as a nursing student at Barry University. I enrolled at Barry in the nursing and honors program straight from high school. I have not only learned a lot about nursing, I have expanded my knowledge in other areas as well."

Jennifer Rosser said, "It is hard to believe in just a year's time all the skills and knowledge I have gained through Barry University's accelerated nursing program. I look back on my time here at Barry as an enriching experience, professionally and personally."
