Post-Master's Certificate Programs

Pursuing a certificate in other specializations within the nursing field will not only expand your skill set as a nurse, but will increase your career options within the healthcare and non-clinical settings. Barry University currently offers three certificate programs for registered nurses who have already obtain their Master of Science in Nursing degree.

Certificate Programs

Nursing Executive Leadership

If you are interested in pursuing the Nursing Executive Leadership certificate, you must already have a Master of Science in Nursing degree. The time it takes to complete the certification is dependent upon the individual. You will be given a personal advisor who will work with you to determine the number of credits necessary to complete this track.

Nurse Educator

If you are interested in pursuing the Nursing Educator certificate, you must already have a Master of Science in Nursing degree. The time it takes to complete the certification is dependent upon the individual. You will be given a personal advisor who will work with you to determine the number of credits necessary to complete this track.

Family Nurse Practitioner and Geriatric-Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

If you are interested in pursuing the Nurse Practitioner certificate in either family or geriatric-adult acute care, you must already have a Master of Science in Nursing degree. The time it takes to complete the certification is dependent upon the individual. You will be given a personal advisor who will work with you to determine the number of credits necessary to complete this track.
