Students Getting Involved

The program serves as a field education site where Barry University’s bachelor’s and master’s level social work students, under the guidance of experienced social workers, may conduct their practicum training. The student interns receive a stipend and valuable practice experience working with the clients and working within the different services offered by the Office of the Public Guardian. Barry University’s Public Guardian program is the only program in the state and country that links formal social work education with the court’s probate system.

For more information about internships, please contact the School of Social Work’s Field Education Department at 305-899-3906.
