In September, Professor Connie Hicks , Emmy Award winning journalist, taught an interactive class on a case study in Organizational Communication.

For twenty five years, Professor Hicks was a television reporter in Minneapolis, Rhode Island, and Miami. During those years, she won two Emmys, as well as awards from the Associated Press, the American Bar Association, and Lincoln University on minority issues and Crime Stoppers. In the course of her career she produced and anchored the news as well as covered riots, hurricanes, death row, public corruption, trials and reported from Cuba and Haiti. Her interest is in broadcast news, reporting and writing, and ethics in the media.  She spent the past year contributing to PBS’s Nightly Business Report - reporting on the planning stages for retirement.
