Dr. Jean McAtavey joined Barry in 2008. She holds a Ph.D. in Global Corporate Leadership from Lynn University, a Master’s in Psychology from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s in Education from Boston College. Dr. McAtavey is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator and Advisor for the Ph.D. program in Human Resource Development. Dr. McAtavey has a strong commitment to education and enjoys helping students set and attain goals.

Her work in career development and executive coaching has been featured on WPTV’s Channel 5/ Power Profile, as well as in the Palm Beach Post and the Sun Sentinel newspapers. She has published several scholarly articles on women entrepreneurs, mentoring, coaching and succession planning. Her research areas are career development, leadership, diversity, group dynamics, change and coaching.
