Welcome to the Center for Dominican Studies

The Center for Dominican Studies (CDS) seeks to build, celebrate and share the rich and diverse charisms of the Dominican tradition and to be a place where the enduring Dominican tradition of contemplata aliis tradere (contemplating and sharing with others the fruits of that contemplation) is a lived reality.

The Center, located at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, offers various Outreach programs on issues of relevance to the Dominican family and to the People of God as they strive to live morally in the midst of our complex, modern world. CDS serves as a place for study and conversation regarding Dominican spirituality or preaching in action and is a meeting place for various committees dedicated to carrying out the mission of the Center and of Barry University. In addition, CDS opens its doors in hospitality to visitors presenting at conferences and workshops.
