Resources: Information on Specific Dominican Justice Issues and the Order
In this section of the Center for Dominican Studies’ website, we provide networked listings to other organizations addressing some of the key justice issues the Dominican Family addressed in their 2006 Call to Justice:
- Care of Creation
- Encouraging a Culture of Peace
- Establishing Global Partnerships
These Internet listings will give you access to additional information and the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding from an ecumenical and interfaith perspective.
We also provide an outline of Barry University’s Concentration in Dominican Studies,
which is being restructured to meet the needs of distance learners. When available, coursework within this Concentration will provide graduate students in Barry University’s Master’s in Practical Theology, Doctor of Ministry, Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology, and Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry for Hispanics, with a firm background in Dominican tradition and spirituality. Through the study and understanding of Dominican culture, students will also be able to actively engage their own culture and the questions and problems arising from that culture that require a theological and evangelical response.
