Student Preaching
The CDS is forming a faith formation group of student preachers starting in the fall semester of 2004. Twenty Barry University students were selected to gather for weekly prayer, theological reflection on the scriptures, and preparation for preaching at university rituals. Members of the Adrian Dominicans Sisters, Friars of the Southern Province and other members of the CDS Planning Committee will serve as mentors for these student preacher’s gatherings. |

Pathways of Possibilities
“Pathways of Possibilities” is the new television show produced by the CDS and aired on WXEL (PBS) station on Sunday mornings. This weekly show is the result of a collaborative venture between the CDS, Barry University’s communication faculty, students, and WXEL of W. Palm Beach, FL. These shows highlight Dominican and Dominican related ministries. |

Marriage as Ministry
A day-long workshop was hosted by the Center for Dominican Studies for thirty couples in the Miami area on Sept. 9, 2003. Couples heard talks and participated in conversations about “The Spirituality of Marriage,” “Fair vs. Unfair Fighting,” and “Hidden Assumptions and Expectations in Marriage.” The presenters were Drs.
