Checklist for New Student Orientation & Barry 101

The following checklist is for students who have already registered for Orientation. Feel free to print this list while you prepare for your stay.

PERSONAL ITEMS TO BRING FOR ORIENTATION & BARRY 101

Comfortable clothing for hot weather including tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, and bathing suit (if you are planning to go to the beach outside of Orientation).

Comfortable shoes for walking (sneakers/sandals)

Umbrella and/or raincoat

Toiletries

Electronic device with an alarm clock - Cell phones usually have an alarm clock built in that you can use.

Some of the indoor activities can be chilly due to the A/C, so please bring a light sweater or sweat shirt.

FORMS & DOCUMENTATION NEEDED FOR ORIENTATION & BARRY 101

Proof of Insurance - All students (domestic and international) residing in any/all university provided housing must provide proof of adequate insurance prior to coming to Barry University.

Required Health Form - Students must complete and bring the following form to Orientation. Failure to do so will prevent students from registering for classes.

Immunization Record - Review the immunizations all students (domestic and international) must receive prior to attending Barry University.

Financial Aid Paperwork - Students who qualify for financial aid must complete all necessary paperwork.

Government issued identification (Driver's License or Passport).

Automobile Registration - Only if you are planning on bringing your car to campus at anytime during the academic year. This is so you can receive a parking decal.

Visa

I-94 Card - Arrival-Departure Record by immigration officials at the U.S. port of entry.

Government issued identification (Driver's License or Passport).

I-20 - A multipurpose government form provided to accepted international students that tells the U.S. government that they are eligible for F-1 Student Status. All international students must have this document in valid status for travel and educational purposes.
