Freshmen Orientation Schedule

Students who are beginning college in the fall for the very first time can choose either our one-day program or our two-day program. The one-day program was specially designed for those students who are local to the South Florida area, and who would like to focus their time mainly on registration and campus resources during orientation. There are no on-campus accommodations during the one-day program. If you are beginning school in the spring semester, there is only a two-and-a-half day program offered.

The orientation program is designed to introduce you to life at Barry. You and your family will meet faculty and staff, and learn first-hand what you can expect from your studies at Barry University. Get acquainted with the University through information sessions, academic workshops, social festivities, meetings and receptions. You will also meet with your advisor and register for your upcoming classes.

Orientation I June 19, 2013

One-day orientation program for freshmen students in the local South Florida area who want to focus their time mainly on registration and campus resources.  This is an all day session that will begin at 7:00 am and end at 6:00 pm.

Orientation II June 20, 2013

One-day orientation program for freshmen students in the local South Florida area who want to focus their time mainly on registration and campus resources.  This is an all day session that will begin at 7:00 am and end at 6:00 pm.

Orientation III June 24-25, 2013

Two-day orientation program for freshmen who are coming from outside of South Florida or out-of-state.
(Optional – Local students may attend this in place of Orientation I & II if they would like to take part in the additional activities during Orientation III)

• 7:00 am – Orientation begins
• June 25
• 5:00pm – Orientation ends

Orientation IV June 27-28, 2013

Two-day orientation program for freshmen who are coming from outside of South Florida or out-of-state.
(Optional – Local students may attend this in place of Orientation I & II if they would like to take part in the additional activities during Orientation IV)

• June 27
• 7:00 am – Orientation begins
• June 28
• 5:00pm – Orientation ends
