Fall Orientation 2007 Schedule

From the Vice President For Student Affairs

Dear Family Member:

Students are more likely to succeed when a university attends to all aspects of their development. Barry University 's Student Affairs Division adheres to this philosophy in all our planning and programming. We oversee the general well being of all students, and seek to provide a caring environment that enhances the learning experience. This developmental approach to total education stresses such traits as maturity, responsibility to self and others, a religious dimension, and a sense of community service.

As Vice President of Student Affairs, I think that each student's education is primarily his or her own responsibility. However, each member of our professional staff understands that there will be times when a given student will need individual attention, counseling or encouragement. In those instances, we stand ready to provide a support system to help him or her reach the next step.

Please call on us!
Welcome to Barry University and I wish you great success in the years to come.

Sincerely,
Dr. Michael J. Griffin
Vice President for Student Affairs
