Dr. Sandra Schrouder


Dr. Sandra Schrouder is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration at Barry University. She received a BA (Honors) degree from the University of the West Indies, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and a PhD in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Schrouder’s research interests are in the areas of Management, Public Policies, Public Finance, Education Policies, Organizational Studies, Bureaucratic Discretion, and Juvenile Justice. Her publications include articles in peer reviewed journals such as Development in Practice, Journal of Economics and Finance Education, International Review of Economics Education, and Applied Economic Letters. She is the co-author of the book “Contemporary issues in the Development of Caribbean Economies”, and the author of BarCharts: QuickStudy Business: Management Leadership, a quick study guide designed to illustrate the importance of leadership in the business world. Dr. Schrouder also serves as a reviewer for the International Review of Economics Education (IREE) Journal.

Dr. Schrouder is also active in the community serving on the community relations board of North Broward Hospital (Broward Health); she is the co-chair of the umbrella organization for Jamaican alumni associations operating in Florida (The Coalition of Jamaican Alumni Associations of Florida (CJAAF) Inc.), and she co-edits its newsletter the Coalition Monthly.
