Summer Research Opportunities

Summer research represents a great opportunity for exposure of undergraduate students to research conducted in their area of studies with faculty at various research institutions nationwide. Summer research programs involving undergraduate students usually run 8-10 weeks during the summer break. Many of the programs are federally funded and provide coverage for living expenses and/or student stipends. Ultimately students are given an opportunity for involvement in exciting projects and get to interact with faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students at nationally recognized research institutions. Students' active participation in these programs strengthens their application to graduate school admission.
