Summer Research Opportunities

Summer research represents a great opportunity for exposure of undergraduate students to research conducted in their area of studies with faculty at various research institutions nationwide. The duration of internships varies but it is usually 10 weeks. Many of the programs are federally funded and provide coverage for living expenses and/or student stipends. Ultimately students are given an opportunity for involvement in exciting projects and get to interact with faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students at nationally recognized research institutions. Students' active participation in these programs strengthens their application to graduate and professional school admission.
