Science Olympiad
Each spring, the department hosts the science Olympiad; a competition designed for local area high school students taking chemistry I, chemistry II and physics. The students participate in a day-long competition of a written test, an oral team competition, and a lab competition. Over 150 students from more than 13 schools from the Miami-Dade and Broward Country area participate each year.
