Barry student places first in undergraduate category at 87th Florida Annual Meeting and Exposition

Barry senior Ariadne Alcantara was awarded first place in the Undergraduate Category of the 87th Florida Annual Meeting and Exposition (FAME), which took place May 12 through 14 in Innisbrook, Fla. Her poster presentation “Synthesis of Novel Muscarinic Agonists for Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease” was based on work done with Physical Sciences faculty member Dr. John Boulos and was selected among entries from undergraduates from all over Florida.
