Professor Demshok, a Miami native, graduated from the University of Florida Physician Assistant Program in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Medicine. In 1994, he received his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling from St. Thomas University in Miami. Over the last twenty–six years he has worked in acute care, primary care, and emergency ophthalmology with adults, college students, children, migrant workers, and the homeless. He has been an adjunct faculty member of the Miami Barry University PA program since 2003. Professor Demshok enjoys playing music, practices meditation, and has an interest in preventive medicine. He is married to his physicist wife, Dr. Bauer.
