Elba Pagan-Rosa, EdD, MPH, PA-C

Dr. E. Pagan-Rosa received a bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant from the CUNY City College of New York/The Harlem Hospital Physician Assistant Program. She then went on to pursue a Master’s in Public Health degree with a concentration in program evaluation and management. Dr. Pagan-Rosa’s combined 32+ PA experience and passion in academic and clinical practice lead her to pursue a doctorate degree in educational leadership in higher education with Argosy University. In July, 2018, Dr. Pagan-Rosa became a member of the Barry PA Program faculty interacting in both didactic and clinical year instruction.

Dr. Pagan-Rosa’s clinical/medical areas of interest and research experience extend to women’s, prisoner, military, substance abuse, HIV, and international health. As a member with the Heart-to-Heart Organization, she was traveled to Haiti, Jamaica, and Rwanda, Africa to deliver lectures, training, and medical care to underserved devastated communities. Her recent dissertation publication include "Science Teachers’ Dispositions of Professional Development Experiences Affecting Instructional Practice and Improvement in Student Achievement." As assistant professor, Dr. Pagan-Rosa is excited to be a member of the Barry University faculty and community
