Dr. Carmen Queral joined BUPAP in 2004 as Assistant Professor in Medical Studies and Clinical Coordinator. Currently she is the Director of Clinical Site Development and Retention and oversees clinical site development and affiliations with hospitals, clinics and private medical offices. She holds a PhD from Touro University International in Health Science, a Master of Public Health degree from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Kentucky University. Prior to joining the faculty of Barry University she has worked as a physician assistant in Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Orthopedic Surgery.
She is the co-author of "The Physician Assistant Clinical Review Cards", "12 Steps to Health" and "How These Things Make Us Healthier" and a series of articles in Advance Magazine for Physician Assistants spanning two years. Dr. Queral has presented at various local, state and national conferences for Physician Assistants as well as internationally in leadership programs. She is the recipient of the "Young Faculty Award of Excellence" Association of Physician Assistant Programs, the "Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award", Nova Southeastern University, College of Allied Health, and the "Leadership Award", Nova Southeastern University, Public Health Program.
