Transfer Students

  • Students may transfer from another School of Podiatric Medicine after the first or second year.
  • Students must be in good academic standing at their previous School of Podiatric Medicine with a GPA of at least 3.00 (80%) with no failing grades except when the entire course has been successfully repeated.
  • Application, current transcripts (undergraduate, graduate, and MCAT scores) and a letter from the Academic Dean and/or the Dean of Student Affairs should be forwarded.
  • Based on the applicants qualification, additional credentials may be required.
  • Applicants from health professional schools other than Podiatric Medical Colleges will be handled on an individual basis.
  • In order to achieve advanced standing, students must have earned a B or better in equivalent courses.
  • Students with C grades may transfer credit upon successful completion of a comprehensive challenge exam.
  • Junior and senior years (clinical experience) must be completed at Barry University School of Graduate Medical Sciences.
