"Doctors Paul and Margaret Brand pioneered work with leprosy patients in India. The Brands' research developed new medical techniques that allowed insensate patients, including those with diabetes and leprosy, to function normally in society despite their handicaps.

At the Paul & Margaret Brand Research Center at Barry University, we are continuing the Brands' legacy through collaborative research efforts to reduce diabetic foot complications including diabetic ulcers and amputations.
