Barry student wins scholarship from American Association for Women Podiatrists

Chelsea Ofili, fourth year student at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, was awarded the prestigious American Association for Women Podiatrists, Inc. (AAWP) Founder's Scholarship for 2019. Her commitment to the podiatry student community and her strong academic record make her the perfect candidate for this honor. Chelsea is the current president of an AAWP chapter and the proud recipient of other awards this year, including American Podiatric Medicine Student Award Scholarship, Ross E. Taubman and Betsy Herman Taubman Scholarship Award, and the American Podiatric Medical Association Educational Foundation Scholarship (APMA).

The AAWP is comprised of a dynamic group of diverse individuals committed to the support, leadership, and advancement of female podiatric physicians and surgeons. AAWP seeks to cultivate the personal and professional development of female podiatric physicians like Ofili. They do so through education, advocacy, leadership, mentorship, and networking endeavors.
