Kayreen Burns, Ph.D.Dr. Burns is a clinical psychologist, licensed in the state of Florida, who has been at Barry since 1992. Prior to coming to Barry, she served for ten years as a member of the Psychology faculty at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Burns obtained her B.S. in Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, her M.Ed. in Special Education--Learning Disabilities from the University of North Dakota and her Ph.D. (1981) from Loyola University of Chicago. Dr. Burns’ specialty is child clinical/developmental and psychological assessment.

Research Interests

  • The use of neuropsychological assessment to evaluate development and dysfunction in children and adults
  • The use of MMPI-2 and MMPI-A to predict behavior and classify groups
  • The quality of mother-infant interactions
