By Georges Bossous, Jr.
Delicate soul, gentle heart,
inspiring teacher, and loving
colleague, she used to be
called.
Every word from her mouth
either touched one’s heart or
appeased a troubled mind.
Soft and calm, she used
to bring joy and laughter
to her family, students and
colleagues.
Recollection of her smile
brings
the warmth of the sun
that always
shined in her eyes.
Overcome your fear, face the
world
and become someone
special,
she once said.
Sweet rhythms of her melodic
voice
have assuaged the pain
of many
broken hearts.
Indelible traces of her love
shall
live in our hearts and
lead our
path always.
Endless songs of love and
poetry
shall be written in the
memory of
that gentle being.
Remember that angel whose
life
inspires love, compassion,
empathy,
and serenity.
Soothing breeze from heaven,
please carry us through the
ocean of peaceful harmony.
This tribute was spoken at the Memorial Service, Oct. 17, 2003.
