Eleventh Annual Psychology Student Research Forum

April 13, 2005 was a day for Psychology Department graduate and undergraduate students to share the research which they worked so hard on all year. The Eleventh Annual Psychology Student Research Forum was a great success. Dr. Christopher Starratt and Dr. Stephen Koncsol began the event with the symposium, “The Psychology of Optimal Human Functioning.” This was a time for undergrads to showcase the results of their Senior Seminar class. All students extended words of gratitude to graduate assistant Jane Lineman for all of her support. Presentations by graduate students and undergraduates held the audience’s attention as they covered a range of topics. Nineteen graduate students and 32 undergraduates filled the halls with research as they participated in the poster session. The research forum was also an opportunity for many individuals to be recognized for their outstanding work. Nichole Hive and Delyanne Barros were both honored with the Outstanding Psychology Seniors award. Also, Dr. Shine presented the Friend of School Psychology award to Dean Peterson. In addition, 17 students received blue and gold cords as they were inducted into Psi Chi.
