Special Awards

Congratulations to all of the Psychology students and faculty who were awarded for their outstanding work during the 2006-2007 academic year:

STUDENTS

Kristen Pearson: Black Student Association Leadership and Commitment Award and Student Activities Outstanding Leader Award.

Lynda Nora Durand: B.L.I.S.S. Certificate of Appreciation; Alpha Phi Awards: Forget-Me-Not Award, Ivy Leaf Award, Greek Person of the Year Award, and Excellence in Leadership Award.

Kirsten Adams: Virgin Islands Students’ Association Presidential Award and Student Activities Outstanding Leader Award.

Ishtar Lewis: Virgin Islands Students’ Association Most Dedicated Award.

Kerenzer Etienne: Student Government Association Treasurer Award and Division of Student Affairs Award

Danielle Jackman: Dr. George J. Wanko Award for Outstanding Junior

Jane Lineman: Award for student Leadership by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

Yvonne M. Stahl: Hugh W. Ripley Award for Outstanding Undergraduate for her Honors Thesis entitled: “Perceived Wellness Among Adults Experiencing Homelessness.”

Libby Lowe who was selected to the All-Conference Team. Lowe has been a member of the team for two years and has helped them earn Bronze medals at the SSC Championship and a third place finish in the second finals at the David Vail Regatta. Lowe has recorded an astounding 7:29 000K ERG Score.

Dr. Maria Lopez who received the Disability Services Faculty of the Year Award.

Kendra Francis who will be attending Argosy University, Tampa to pursue a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Samira Flores who will be attending Nova Southeastern University to pursue a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Janeann Lineman who will be attending University of Denver’s to pursue a Ph.D. in School Psychology.

Yvonne Stahl who will be attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s to pursue a Master of Science degree in Counseling.
