Dr. Fay Roseman elected president of the Florida Association of Marriage and Family Counseling

Barry University assistant professor of education Fay Roseman, Ph.D., is the newest member of executive board of the Florida Counseling Association (FCA). Roseman was recently elected president of the Florida Association of Marriage and Family Counseling (FAMFC), a division of the FCA.

The FCA is an organization which promotes values of professional counseling in Florida. The purpose of the organization is to promote the counseling profession through public awareness, professional development, and advocacy. An all-encompassing association, the group is organized into six divisions: Child and Adolescent Counseling; Counselor Education and Supervision; Multi-Cultural Counseling and Development; Medically Fragile Children; Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling; and Career Development.

The mission of the FAMFC is to promote the value of marriage and family counseling through public awareness, professional development, and advocacy, as well as supporting and unifying marriage and family counselors in all settings, resulting in high quality practices in Florida.
