Program Overview

The School of Education offers a 30 semester-hour program leading to the Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) in Reading degree. The program is designed for teachers and leaders who want to extend their knowledge and specialized skills beyond the master's level.

• Most courses meet once a week for 10 weeks.
• Summer courses are available and are offered in intensive two- to three-week formats.
• Most students complete the degree in two years while teaching.
• A significant reduction in tuition is available to working educators.
• Classes are offered at the Miami Shores campus and the Ocala and Kendall locations.
