Wellness Class Descriptions
Aerobic Exercise
High and low impact movements make up this specialized form of exercise aimed at strengthening the body's cardiovascular system without overly stressing any particular part of the body. It involves a lot of bodily movement but the movement is designed to be not overly repetitive.
Board Games
Enjoy time with friends while playing new and traditional board games like Scrabble, Uno, Checkers, Chess, Life, Jenga and Battleship.
Boot Camp
Barry's and Boot Camp workout takes on a fast-paced military approach with interval training that includes movements such as push-ups, jumping jacks, sit-ups, running in place, football, and an assortment of plymetric floor exercises style-drills.
Cardio Challenge
Incorporates step aerobics, kick boxing and circuit training methods to challenge all fitness levels.
Circuit Workout
Circuit training combines 8-10 exercises that are completed one right after the other, with little or no rest in between. Perform each exercise for a specified time then rest for no more than 30 seconds before moving on to the next exercise. Once you complete all exercises, that is considered one circuit.
Indoor Soccer
Open recreational time dedicated to faculty and staff for playing soccer in an indoor setting with reduced goals.
Noon Ball
Faculty and staff get priority during these times. Pick up basketball for all skill levels.
Personal Training
Certified fitness professionals will help you get on track with your fitness goals by providing you with a program. Available for all faculty, staff, and students.

- Corrective exercises for muscular or mobility imbalances.
Pilates
An exercise method based on the work of Joseph Pilates. Its focus is on strengthening the "powerhouse" (abs and buttocks) to execute the exercises which are designed to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and improve posture. The method involves concentration and the coordination of breath and movement, thereby helping to balance mind and body.
Kickboxing
A fast-paced, high-intensity workout. Mimics actual training methods for boxing. Learn to execute jabs and uppercuts, as well as front and roundhouse kicks. Also focuses on movement and defensive skills.
Spinning
Aerobic exercise on a specially designed stationary bicycle. The instructor talks you through a visualization of an outdoor cycling workout.
Table Tennis
Open recreational time dedicated to faculty, staff, and students for playing a great hand-eye coordination game of table tennis.
Tai Chi
A Chinese system of physical exercises designed especially for meditation, and for the development of self-discipline and a sense of well-being.
Yoga
Relaxation and stress relief exercises. This system of exercises is aimed at training the consciousness for a state of perfect spiritual insight and tranquility, a total mind and body conditioner.
Zumba
High energy Latin music aerobics with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance their worries away.
