Resident Assistants are the backbone of Residential Life. As student staff members, they are responsible for providing programs to residents, managing on-call responsibilities and being a resource. RA staff members help mediate conflicts, resolve floor issues and ensure that all residence hall community standards are met. |
Area Coordinators

Area Coordinators support and supervise the Resident Assistant staff. They manage multiple residence halls, resolve student issues, oversee programming efforts in each hall and serve as disciplinary officers. Overall, the ACs serve a variety of administrative functions to make Office of Residential Life run smoothly. |

Matthew comes to Barry University after working in the Housing and Residential Life Department at Florida Atlantic University. Matthew completed both his undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees here at Barry. He holds a B.S. in Criminology and M.S. in Higher Education Administration. Matthew is very happy to return to the Barry family. He brings over 10 years of residence hall experience and is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Office of Residential Life.

Patrick Devine is a two-time alum of Barry University . After a number of years working in various areas of Student Affairs, Patrick has risen to the level of Assistant Director of Residential Life. Patrick is responsible for maintaining office operations, housing assignments and overall leadership in the Office of Residential Life.

The Office of Residential Life is located in Landon Student Union, Suite 305 . Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the academic year, and 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. during Summer and holiday breaks.. There are staff members on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week within the residence halls.
