Opportunities for Barry Undergraduate Students

Environmental science and marine biology majors are eligible to apply to the Barry RISEE Program if they have a GPA of 3.2 and a minimum SAT score of 1000. Upon entrance into the program, students receive funds to attend the summer research workshop. During the school year students are paired with Barry faculty members to conduct research and further their education.

During a RISEE student’s sophomore or junior year they are paired up to conduct research at a partner institution according to their interests. Students receive funds to cover expenses such as travel, room and board and a research stipend. Upon completion of their research, students analyze their data and receive funds to travel to scientific conferences to present their results.
