Emilie A. Ney is the Chair for the Department of Counseling and an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology program. After studying Psychology and Spanish at the University of Richmond, she obtained a PhD in School Psychology at Texas A&M University with a concentration in serving diverse and bilingual populations. Before joining the Barry University faculty full time in 2011, she spent time gaining clinical experience in various settings with at-risk populations. Dr. Ney's primary research interests include investigating ways to best serve bilingual students in schools. Her clinical interests include bilingual psychoeducational assessment.
