Admissions - Biology, MS
There are no deadlines to apply for admission to the MS program in Biology. However, you are encouraged to submit a complete application to the Health Sciences Admissions Office at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the anticipated start term. You may seek admission to the program at the start of the Fall, Winter, or Summer semesters.
You will be screened for admission to the program based on the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with appropriate undergraduate/graduate credits in biology.
- Undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) or better.
- Acceptable score on the Graduate Record Examination (verbal, quantitative, and analytical portions), MCAT, or FTCE examination.
- Two letters of recommendation from college science instructors in support of graduate work.
- All requirements for State Regular Certification must be met before you are accepted into the master's program. Only six graduate semester hours with grades of "B" or better will be accepted as transfer credit. Courses approved for transfer must not be older than five years old.
The master's degree must be completed within seven years of the initial start date. |
