Biology, MS

The master's program at Barry University has been designed to offer secondary school teachers of biology the opportunity to continue their life science studies in greater depth, become current in their field, and obtain the credentials required for advancement in their careers. Our course of study satisfies the State of Florida's requirement for a master's degree in biology.

The program has been designed for:

• certified teachers with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology
• teachers trained outside of this field who are being reassigned to biology
• currently certified teachers who require an update of their certification
• teachers with continuing education needs

The curriculum covers core areas in biology, the practical application of this information in the high school setting, and the relationship of biology and technology. The program is designed to enable you to advance your education on a part-time basis with courses in the evenings.
