Belkis Landa-Gonzalez, Ed.D., OTR/L

Belkis Landa-Gonzalez earned her B.S. degree in microbiology and immunology from the University of Miami, in 1986. While working as a research specialist, she completed a M.S. degree in occupational therapy at Florida International University. She returned to Florida International University to complete her doctorate in Higher Education Instruction and Leadership. Dr. Landa-Gonzalez has clinical experience with a variety of populations from children to older adults in acute and rehabilitation hospitals, home-health and private practice settings. She has managed the occupational therapy departments for several local rehabilitation facilities, and served as the President of the South Florida Occupational Therapy Leadership Forum before joining the faculty at Barry University. Her clinical specialty area is neurological and cognitive-rehabilitation. In her leisure time, Dr. Landa-Gonzalez enjoys gardening, arts and crafts, sharing time with family and going to the ball park (She is a Marlins' fan!).
