Clinical Supervision and Field Educator Training
The Clinical Supervision and Field Educator Training is a two-day workshop that prepares Field Educators to supervise Barry University School of Social Work Field Interns. The content includes the necessary policies, procedures, and guidelines for Barry University School of Social Work Field Interns. The training is designed to meet the requirements of the Florida Licensing Board for becoming a qualified clinical supervisor. As such, additional content on specific clinical supervisory knowledge and strategies are presented. This two-day training offers 12 free CEU’s to current Barry University Field Educators. In addition, the training meets the educational requirement that allows licensed Social Work practitioners (LCSW) to become state sanctioned "Qualified" Supervisors for Registered Social Work interns in Florida.
The training also offers contact hours for clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors as well as general credit hours towards licensure maintenance.
