We are deeply disheartened to learn that the Trump administration plans to rescind critical guidance aimed at protecting the human rights, safety and dignity of transgender students in U.S. schools. This guidance helps ensure that transgender students can safely use facilities aligned with their gender identities. Revoking this guidance will undermine Title IX protections for transgender students, jeopardizing their human rights, safety and well-being. We will continue our work through the Center for Human Rights and Social Justice to engage in advocacy and education to advance transgender affirming practices and policies in our local schools and communities.
