Mabel M. Rodriguez has been a member of the Barry University School of Social Work since 2002 serving in a variety of capacities including Assistant Director of Field Education, Director of Admissions and Enrollment, and currently as a faculty member. 

Ms. Rodriguez’s professional interests include values and ethics, mental health, and diversity.  She has twelve years of experience in direct clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups while having worked in a myriad of settings; including hospitals, inpatient psychiatric units, partial hospitalization programs, day treatment programs, skilled nursing facilities, and private practice.

Ms. Rodriguez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and is a Registered Clinical Supervisor with the state of Florida.  Ms. Rodriguez is active in the professional community and has served two years as an executive committee member for the board of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered Youth Alliance.

She has presented at local, state, and national conferences in the areas of professional values and ethics, advance directives, diversity, medical errors, and the invisibility of bisexual persons.
